The interiors project for the Sydney office of an international publishing company, completed in 2016, stands as a testament to the seamless fusion of modern aesthetics with the heritage charm of a New York-style building in the heart of Sydney's CBD. The unique space, characterized by high ceilings and timber flooring, presented a long and narrow layout, making functionality a paramount consideration in the design process. Adhering to a modern style, the expansion from one to two levels was strategically executed, creating a harmonious flow within the space. The design solution incorporated an extensive amount of shelving for the purposeful display of the company's extensive book stock, coupled with strategically placed graphics on walls showcasing iconic book covers. The interiors were thoughtfully crafted to not only optimize productivity but also offer comfortable meeting and breakout spaces, providing employees with a dynamic and inspiring work environment reflective of the company's international stature and literary legacy.
